Saturday Night Dive

Last night was a good sign that there are still some people supporting Kerry. Saturday Night Live had at least one week off, so they had at least the past two weeks of juicy Kerry interviews that they could have made fun of. It would have been easy, and it would have been hilarious. However, if your candidate isn't doing so well, you don't want to mock him at all. So instead of making use of the several wonderfully bad Kerry interviews, they conjured up a fake conversation between Cheney and Bush for their opening sketch. Last election they were comfortable making fun of both Bush and Gore, because they felt sure Gore would win. Now they're hesitant, perhaps scared. They can't touch Kerry because once the liberal media is against him he literally has no hope. This is good for us, since as long as people like the folks at SNL support Kerry, the less likely that the Dems will replace him with a better candidate.
